Last Will and Testament of Jonathan S. Leet
"I Jonathan S. Leet of Canton township in the County of Washington and State of Pennsylvania being of sound mind memory and understanding do make and publish this, my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made, And first I direct that my body be decently intured by the side of my dead relatives, and that my funeral be conducted in a manner corresponding with my estate and situation in life. As to such estate as it has pleased God to entrust me with, I dispose of the same as follows viz:
I give and bequeath to my wife Griszella Leet, the
use or income of all money which I have now an interest, or may hereafter
come into my possession, to have and to use during her natural life.
I also give devise and bequeath to her my said wife Griszella Leet the
use improvement and income of my messuage and tract of land on which my
dwelling house is situated of eighty seven acres with its appertenances
and all my household and movable property to have and to hold the said
messuage above described and appertenances for the during her natural life
After the death of my said wife, I do direct that my entire posesions[sic]
be divided between my four children Nancy Leara Elizabeth Boon, Catharine
B. Wilson, and Sarah Jane R. Leet to Sarah Jane my youngest child I give
devise and bequeath all my household and movable property except my money.
The aboved mentioned property and two hundred dollars in money I bequeath
to her more than her equal share of my estate. The remaining three children
is to share and share alike to have and to hold for them and their heirs
forever.*

Signed Sealed published and declared by the said
Jonathan S. Leet as and for his last will and Testament in the presence
of us who have subscribed the same as witnesses at his request.

Washington Co. SS. Be it remembered that on this
20th day of Novm 1861. Before me W.A. Mickey Register for the
probate of wills and granting letters of administration in and for said
county came Wm. H. Cook and Isaac C. Leet the subscribing witnesses to
the foregoing will of Jonathan S. Leet decd who after being duly qualified
according to law depose and say that they were present at the execution
of the said will, saw the testator sign the same - heard him publish it
as and for his last will and testament. And that they at his request
in his presence and in the presence of each other subscribed their names
thereto as witnesses and that at the time of so signing the Testator was
of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding to the best of their
knowledge observation and belief.

Novm. 20th 1861. Letters Testamentary issued to Wm. H. Cook
and Isaac C. Leet the executors named in the will. Who the same day were
duly qualified, and the will registered and compared by
W.A. Mickey Regr
*And I do hereby consitute and and[sic] appoint Wm. H. Cook and Isaac C. Leet to be the executors of this my last will and Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 12th day of November A.D. 1861"
