Last Will and Testament of Daniel Leet
"I Daniel Leet of Canton township Washington County
and State of Pennsylvania make this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking
and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made - And
first I order and direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be
paid as soon as possible by my Executors out of my estate. I give
and bequeath to Grizella Leet wife of my brother Jonathan S. Leet all my
household and movable property excepting my money which I dispose of in
manner following. To wit, I give and bequeath unto the said Grizella
Leet the sum of two thousand dollars to be paid to her by my executors
out of the first money belonging to my estate which they may collect after
my decease the residence and remainder of my estate of whatsoever kind
I give and bequeath unto my two brothers William V. Leet and Jonathan S.
Leet to be divided equally between them and whereas Samuel Laird owes me
about three thousand dollars for which I hold a judgment and other securities
against him, it is my will and I do order and direct that whatever sum
or sums of money may be owing to me by the said Samuel Laird at the time
of my death shall remain in his hands and be retained by him for his own
use without interest for a period of ten years from my decease and after
the expiration of the said years my executors are directed to collect the
said money and pay them over to my brothers William V. and Jonathan S.
Leet as herein before provided. And I do hereby constitute and appoint
William Wylie and Samuel Laird to be the Executors of this to be
my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set
my hand and seal this 21st day August A.D. 1851

Registered sealed published and declared by the said
Daniel Leet as and for his last will and testament in presence of us who
have subscribed the same as judgement at his request.

Washington County so be it remembered that on the
14th day of July A.D. 1851 before me John Meloy Register for
the probate of wills and granting letters of administration in and for
said County came A.W. Achison and D.S. Wilson who after being sworn according
to the law depose and say that they were present at the execution of the
above will of Daniel Leet decd and saw the Testator sign his
name thereto. That at his request they signed their names as witnesses.
That they heard the Testator publish pronounce and declare the foregoing
instrument as and for his last will and testament. Hence at the time thereof
he was sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding to the best of
their knowledge observation and belief. And sworn to and subscribed before
me
