"Horace Y. Fitch died at his home in Stillwater, Ok., on Monday, January 24, 1910, aged 82 years, 1 month and 10 days. The funeral was held at the Christian church on Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, Rev. Virtes Williams conducting the services. Interment was in Fairlawn cemetery.
Mr. Fitch was born in Utica, N.Y., and had lived in Stillwater about nine years. He left six children, two of whom are in California. The children present at the funeral were A.D. Fitch, of Frankfort, Kan., C.R. Fitch, of Jennings, Mrs. Alice Barrett and Mrs. Lottie Blossom, who live in Payne county. The two daughtsrs(sic) were accompanied by their husbands, and C.R. Fitch by his wife.
Mr. Fitch succumbed to a stroke of paralysis in
the postoffice last Friday, and did not recover consciousness."
