"FITCH - At the residence of her son, H.Y. Fitch, Mrs. Lucinda Fitch, aged 78 years and four months. Deceased came from New York State seven years ago, since when(sic) she has resided with her son. Death resulted from the gradual wearing away incident to old age. Although she died very suddenly there was no pain, but a peaceful, painless passing away. Rev. Mayor preached the funeral sermon at the residence. The funeral was largely attended by the many who had learn(sic) to love deceased for her womanly qualities."
