Obituary - Mrs. Emma Johns

"Dover Woman Dies At Daughter's Home In Newcomerstown"
"Mrs. Emma Johns, 79, of Dover died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Fred Strutz, Wood Av., Newcomerstown. Thursday at 9:15 a.m. Mrs. Johns, who had been ill the past 12 years made her home in Newcomerstwon(sic) the past several months.

She was a member of the Jewish division of the Dover Grace Lutheran church.

She was born June 30, 1866, in Pennsylvania, the daughter of John and Rebecca Frew Caddes. Her husband, Jasper H. Johns, died Dec. 9, 1937.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Jessie Steffe, of the home in Dover, Mrs. Strutz of Newcomerstown and Mrs. Bernice Cronebaugh, Winfield; two sons, C.W. Johns and Fred Johns, Dover; 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grand-children. Three brothers and three sisters are deceased.

Services will be held Sunday at 1:30 at the home in Dover, with Dr. G.W. Nisley officiating. Burial will be in Bethel cemetery."
