Mr. Johns was born five miles north of Newcomerstown July 6, 1864, the son of William O. and Sarah Johns. He was united in marriage with Emma Caddy on Jan. 25, 1883. The following children survive: Mrs. Jesse Steffy, Mrs. Bernice Cronebach, Clarence, Fred and Mack of Newcomerstown. Two sons preceded their father in death. Two brothers and three sisters also survive as follows: Leander Johns and James Johns; Mrs. Grant Besst, Mrs. Sam Leech and Mrs. Charles Milburn, all of Newcomerstown.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the home in Dover, with burial in Bethel cemetery, six miles north of Newcomerstown."
