"Mrs. Pren Metham Is Laid To Rest"

"Funeral services for Mrs. Pren Metham, were held at Warsaw Tuesday afternoon at the Metham home of Nellie, Rev. E.B. Shaw, of Warsaw, officiating. Mrs. Metham died Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Cate of Madison, Florida. Burial was made at the Warsaw Valley View cemetery.

Mrs. Metham had been in failing health since the death of her husband, Col. Pren Metham on February 14. Since that time her health had steadily declined until death overcame her Friday.

Mrs. Metham had been visiting at the home of her daughter since December. For the past few years she and her husband had spent the winter months with their children in Florida.

Prior to her marriage to Pren Metham, September 1854, Mrs. Metham was Miss Sarah A. Proudit, of Ashland. Mrs. Metham had been a member of the Episcopal church at Warsaw for a number of years and was one of the most beloved members of the church and community.

Surviving relatives are: Austin Metham of the home; Mrs. William Cate of Madison, Fla., Mrs. George Cate, of Atlanta Ga., and John Metham of Ashland."
