"John P. Metham, a native of the Warsaw vicinity, died Saturday afternoon at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Fred Kaylor, Newark. He was 73.
He spent his early life at Warsaw and for 33 years was a traveling salesman for the Myers Pump Co. of Ashland. He ws the son of Col. Pren and Sarah Metham. His wife, the former Cora Darling, died in 1937.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Bryan Sharples of Coshocton, Mrs. W.G. Doubleday of Warren and Mrs. Fred Kaylor, at whose home he died. He also leaves four grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
Brief services will be held at the grave in Valley View cemetery, Warsaw, at 3 p.m. Monday."
