"Miss Margaret Metham, aged 62, died after a brief illness of pneumonia at her home 2 miles south of Mohawk at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon.
Miss Metham had made her home for years with the family of her cousin, R. H. McFadden, who passed away ten days ago. She contracted a cold while attending the late Mr. McFadden's funeral and the malady developed into pneumonia, which finally caused her death. The only near relatives surviving are a sister, Miss Lottie Metham and a half-brother, H. Metham. Funeral arrangements have not been completed."
