"Mrs. Orville (Martha Pollard) Younker, 67, of Hewittville died Friday (Oct. 13, 1978) in St. John's Hospital, Springfield. Her husband was killed and she was injured Sept. 16 in a two-truck accident south of Lincoln.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday in Sherwood Funeral Home, Assumption, with visitation after 2 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption.
Mrs. Younker was born in Assumption, daughter of Thomas F. and Pearl Etta Pollard. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Blue Mound. She married Orville Younker in 1931. He died Sept. 16, 1978.
Surviving are son, Orville, Jr., of Buena Visa, Calif.; daughter, Mrs. Lorne (Eileen) Matthews of Hewittville; brothers, Daine Pollard of Wichita, Kan.; Thomas Pollard of Wyoming; sister, Mrs. Myrtle Stringer of Assumption; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
One sister preceded her in death."
