"MOWEAQUA - Vera Mae Younker, 82, of Moweaqua died 7:23 a.m. Thursday (Nov. 17, 1993) in St. John's Hospital, Springfield.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua, with visitation 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Moweaqua. Memorials: Moweaqua Christian Church.
Mrs. Younker was born on April 11, 1911, in Cowden, the daughter of George and Lura McGee O'Kelley. She married Virgil J. Younker on Oct. 6, 1926, in Cowden. She was a member of the Moweaqua Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband ; three sons, Robert of Moweaqua; Leon of Decatur; Ralph of Warrensburg; three daughters, Mrs. Edward (Betty) Smiley of Bloomington; Mrs. Don (Louise) Boyer and Mrs. Steve (Pamela) Shewmaker both of Moweaqua; sister, Marie Clark of Bradford; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter Lois."
