"Fredrick Younker Dies Tuesday in Nursing Home"

"Fredrick Younker, age 87, of Moweaqua, died at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 2, in Moweaqua Nursing Home, after an illness of several weeks. He was taken there on Sunday.

Mr. Younker was a retired farmer, being born March 1, 1875 in Shelby County, a son of John and Mary Younger Younker and had lived near Windsor, Ill., and in North Dakota for 18 years. He was affiliated with the First Baptist Church.

He was married to Myrtle Crisup June 3, 1900 in Shelbyville. She survives.

Also surviving are a daughter Mrs. Glen (Leora) Snyder, Moweaqua; sons LeRoy, Ramsey, Orville, Blue Mound, Burl, Moweaqua; brothers, Will Younker, Centralia, Ill.; Charlie Younker, Mattoon; sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Stretch, El Reno, Okla.; Mrs. Rosa Salmon of Brownstown, Ill.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Stine-Hodge Memorial Home in Moweaqua where friends may call after 4 p.m. today (Wednesday), under the direction of the Rev. Herald Hedden. Memoralization in Ash Grove Cemetery, Windsor, Ill.

Six grandsons will be pallbearers and six granddaughters will be flower girls."

"Funeral services Frederick H. Younker will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Stine-Hodge Funeral Home, Moweaqua, where friends may call after 4 p.m. today. Burial will be in Ash Grove Cemetery, Windsor.

Mr. Younker, 87, of Moweaqua, died at 1:30 a.m. yesterday in Moweaqua Nursing Home after an illness of several weeks. He had been a patient of the home since Sunday.

Mr. Younker, a Moweaqua resident for several years, was born March 1, 1875 in Shelby County, a son of John and Mary Younger Younker.

He was a retired farmer and lived most of his life in the Windsor area, except for 18 years in North Dakota and the past several years in Moweaqua.

Mr. Younker was a member of the First Baptist Church.

He married Myrtle Crisup in Shelbyville, June 3, 1900. She survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Glen (Leora) Snyder, Moweaqua; three sons, James Leroy, Ramsey; Orville, Blue Mound; Burl, Moweaqua; two brothers, Will, Centralia; Charles, Mattoon; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Stretch, El Reno, Okla.; Mrs. Rosa Salmon, Brownstown, 15 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren."
