"Mrs. Rosa Salmons, Brownstown, Dies"

"Mrs. Rosa Salmons, 76, Brownstown, died at 9:50 p.m. Friday at home.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mary Cummins of Beecher City; sons, Clarence of Brownstown and Oral of Humboldt; sister Mrs. Elizabeth Stretch of El Reno, Okla.; brother, Willis Yonker of Centralia; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Salmons was a member of Brownstown Methodist Church in whose house of worship funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, with the pastor, Rev. Paul Brown, officiating. Burial was in Liberty Cemetery. Claggett Funeral Home, Brownstown, in charge.

Mrs. Salmons had lived many years in Sefton Township and moved to Brownstown five years ago.

Daughter of John Younker and Mary Younger Younker, Rosa was born Dec. 8, 1888, near Shelyville. She and Clarence Salmons were married at Strasburg March 17, 1909. He preceded her in death June 24, 1958. Mrs. Salmons had been in failing health for 10 months and had been a residence of Fayette County 48 years."
